Take The exam
Applications are accepted on a continuous basis for all of the examinations below. Cut-off dates (final filing dates) will be established and announced with adequate time for applicants to complete and submit an application before each administration of the exam.
The CCC continuously gives four examinations to anyone meeting the positions’ minimum qualifications.

Staff Services Analyst
This specification describes a recruiting and developmental multi-range class used throughout state service to perform a broad range of interdisciplinary activities consisting primarily of analytical, consultative, and specialized evaluative tasks related to the administration of state programs such as providing program evaluation; development; budgeting; planning; training; management; and personnel analysis.
Conservationist 1
This is an entry-level role involving a wide range of conservation activities and projects. Responsibilities include leading crews, transportation, and filling in for various roles as needed. This role serves as a foundational step in a conservation career.
Conservationist 2
This role involves representing the department at work sites, coordinating diverse work projects, and overseeing staff. Responsibilities encompass project management, educational components, equipment procurement, safety, and public relations. This position requires a higher level of responsibility and leadership in conservation efforts.
Conservationist Supervisor
Supervisor Conservationists are responsible for supervising conservationist staff, managing projects, and maintaining relationships with sponsors. Their role includes staff supervision, training, project oversight, and emergency coordination, making it a key leadership position within the organization.
Administrative Officer 1, Resources Agency
This entry-level position oversees administrative and staff services, including directing clerical and technical staff. This role contributes to the smooth operation of the division or region within the Resources Agency.
Administrative Officer 2, Resources Agency
This high-level supervisory role responsible for overseeing all administrative staff functions within a departmental division, district, or region. They manage clerical, technical, and professional personnel and report to senior management.
